Cookie Notice
In short: our website uses a small number of cookies to work properly. Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them. We don't use cookies to advertise to you, and we don't sell your information.
This notice applies to visitors to untangledtherapy.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice.
What are cookies?
Cookies and similar technologies are small files that are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your choices and tell the people who run it how it is being used.
The cookies we use
Necessary cookies
These are always used. They allow Squarespace, our website hosting platform, to securely serve this website to you and keep it working. You can't switch these off on our site, because the website wouldn't work without them.
Analytics and performance cookies
These are used only if you accept our cookie banner. They tell us about site traffic and activity, such as which pages are visited and how people move around the site, so we can see what is useful and improve it. This information may include details about your browser, network and device, the pages you visited before ours, your IP address, and your use of the site (for example clicks, internal links, pages visited, scrolling, searches and timestamps). It is provided to Squarespace, our website analytics provider.
Third-party services on our website
Some parts of our website use third-party services, which may receive information about your browser, network or device, the page you are viewing and your IP address so they can display their content:
Google Maps, on our Contact page, to show where our therapy room is
Google Fonts, to display the text on our website
You can read how Google handles information in Google's Privacy Policy, and how Squarespace handles it in Squarespace's Privacy Policy.
Managing your cookie choices
Our cookie banner: when you first visit, you can choose whether to accept analytics and performance cookies. Until you accept, they are not placed on your device.
Changing your mind: you can clear the cookies from your browser at any time, and the banner will then ask you again the next time you visit.
Your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block all cookies, parts of the website may not work as expected.
For details of the specific cookies Squarespace uses, see "The cookies Squarespace uses" in the Squarespace Help Center.
Who we are
This website is run by Untangled Therapy, a shared practice of four independent counsellors: Marta Gaczynska, Natalie Burton, Heather Darlinton and Luvena Hadden. You can contact us at untangledtogether@gmail.com or write to us at St Mary's Church House, 61 College Road, Bromley BR1 3QG.
Why we use cookies
Necessary cookies are needed to provide the website you've asked to visit, so they don't require your consent. We only use analytics and performance cookies if you consent, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Where information is processed
Some of our providers, such as Squarespace and Google, may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as UK law requires.
Your rights
You have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, correct it and ask for it to be deleted. See section 15 of our Privacy Notice for the full list and how to use them.
Questions
If you have any questions about how we use cookies, please email us at untangledtogether@gmail.com. For more about how we handle your personal information, see our Privacy Notice.
