Meet Luvena
What if you didn’t have to hold it all together?
Maybe you’ve become very good at getting on with things. Keeping busy. Looking after everyone else. Thinking your way through problems. Carrying on, even when life feels difficult.
You might be feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed or stuck. Perhaps you’re struggling with relationships, low self-esteem, boundaries, grief or a difficult life change. Or maybe life looks fine on the outside, but something doesn’t feel quite right.
How I work
I’m an integrative counsellor in Bromley, offering counselling for anxiety, stress, low mood, relationships, trauma, neurodivergence, grief and other life challenges. I work with adults in person and online, at your own pace.
There is no set formula for therapy. I’m interested in you as a whole person, not just the problem that brings you to counselling. We can explore what is happening now, as well as the relationships, experiences and patterns that may have shaped you.
Perhaps you had to become independent early, felt responsible for other people, or didn’t feel seen or understood. These experiences can continue to shape how we see ourselves, relate to others and respond when life feels difficult.
Sometimes our heads know one thing while another part of us feels something completely different. You might know you need to set a boundary but find it hard to say no, or know a relationship isn’t right but struggle to let go.
In counselling, we can slow things down and make sense of what’s going on together. I’m interested in what might be underneath what you’re experiencing, and I also pay attention to what is happening in your body.
I know what it’s like to be afraid of feeling. For a long time, I stayed busy, kept things under control and thought my way through life rather than allowing myself to feel. Therapy helped me discover that feeling wasn’t something I needed to be afraid of.
I don’t believe change always has to be dramatic. Sometimes, a small pause between how we feel and what we do next is where change begins.
Counselling isn’t about fixing you or turning you into someone different. It’s about understanding yourself with more compassion, making sense of what you’re going through and finding what feels right for you.
I will hold you — all parts of you — until you can learn to hold yourself with a little more kindness.
