Meet Natalie
Driven by passion
I am an integrative, trauma-informed counsellor with a particular interest in supporting people who have experienced childhood trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence and abusive relationships. I also work with experiences including anxiety, fear, shame, dissociation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and experiences of death and loss, including the loss of a loved one.
My counselling training builds on many years of experience working alongside people with a wide range of needs and life experiences. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and understanding working with truma and stabilisation , I can Al so have extra training in attachment base theory I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults) and an NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development.
Before becoming a counsellor, I had a long-standing career with Kent County Council, working extensively with adult/ children with autism, disabilities and complex support needs. I then moved on to work with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, supporting adults within mental health services.
These experiences have given me a strong understanding of the different ways people can be affected by trauma, mental health difficulties, disability, relationships and challenging life circumstances and how they can impact our day to day life’s and relationships
I work relationally, with warmth, curiosity and without judgement. I believe therapy is something we explore together, rather than something that is done to you. We can take time to understand what is happening for you, make sense of your experiences and gently explore patterns that may no longer be serving you.
Sometimes words can feel like too much or you can’t find the words particularly when exploring difficult or traumatic experiences. Where it feels helpful, I may introduce creative ways of working — using objects, drawing, imagery, mapping or other approaches — to help us explore what might be difficult to put into words.
My aim is to offer a safe, respectful space where you can be yourself, at your own pace, while having the freedom to explore, question and make sense of your experiences in a way that feels right and safe for you.
Start with a free 15-minute call, see how it feels, and decide afterwards.
